Job Summary:
The Chief Editor will oversee the management of several high-priority TA's online content production and operation across the entire lifecycle, ensuring exceptional content experiences that meet external HCP and patient needs as well as internal user expectations.
To achieve success, the Chief Editor must maintain exceptionally close coordination and partnership with Customer Innovation, Business Units, Medical Affairs, Medical Information, Channel Enablement Team, Digital, Compliance, etc.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Customer Innovation teams to understand company-wide and BU-level innovative GTM strategies and content strategy for designated TA.
- Develop a best-fit HCP-facing online content plan based on business objectives and content strategy to provide exceptional medical content experiences.
- Develop patient-facing online content plans based on patient solution objectives and content strategy to deliver the best possible content experience and fulfill patient needs.
- Continuously monitor reader insights and adjust content plans accordingly to ensure agile content delivery aligns with reader needs and industry trends.
- Lead and manage agencies, editors, and unify content from various contributors to ensure every piece of content aligns with content strategy, and deliverables are on time and within budget.
- Establish an end-to-end content production process in multiple types (including articles, graphics, videos, etc.) to ensure excellent execution.
- Built-in quality control systems and manage key points of content production to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Monitor and plan relevant content based on industry-spreading topics, including topic selection, material collection, and extraction, and engage with key stakeholders to drive customer acquisition.
- Participate in content operation strategies and evolve content processes/standards to reflect the latest learnings or changes, maintaining high-quality competency levels.
- Investigate innovative next-generation content production models.
- Ensure content production activities comply with scientific standards and follow company SOP governance.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience in writing/editorial positions or similar roles within online medical media environments; pharmaceutical industry experience is beneficial.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, along with experience with multiple content formats and digital tools to facilitate efficient content production, analysis, and management.
- A deep understanding of content reader behavior insights and needs, with a growth mindset.
- Demonstrated experience in developing high-quality content, preferably with a portfolio of published content intended to drive customer acquisition.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Excellent aesthetic taste and ability to comprehend product/Therapeutic Area position and creative vision.
- Fundamental knowledge of content SEO principles.
- Experience in at-scale production is advantageous.
- Acts decisively in complex and fast-paced environments.
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's Degree preferred.
Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum
