Xi an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU) is a pioneering Chinese-foreign collaborative higher education institution. Founded in 2006, XJTLU offers students and staff a unique international experience with a strong focus on innovative learning and research.
The university draws on the strengths of its parent universities, Xi'an Jiaotong University and the University of Liverpool, to offer high-quality programmes that are informed by both East and West.
XJTLU has over 25,000 enrolled students, offering more than 100 programmes across various disciplines. The university aims to grow to about 28,000 students by 2025, with plans to expand its presence in China and globally.
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly qualified individual for a faculty position in Pharmaceutical Sciences at the Academy of Pharmacy. This is a great opportunity for experienced professionals to join our team and contribute to the growth of the academy.
Salary and BenefitsThe successful candidate will receive a competitive salary commensurate with their qualifications and experience. In addition to the salary, we offer a range of benefits, including allowances for housing, travel, education, and relocation, as well as commercial insurance and paid holidays.
Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate and graduate students in Pharmaceutical Sciences;
- Maintain active research and obtain external research funds;
- Carry out various administrative duties, such as Research Officer, Lab Safety Officer, and Examination Officer;
- Supervise graduate students and support teaching and research staff;
- Collaborate with local private sectors;
The ideal candidate should have a PhD degree in Medicinal Chemistry, Chemical Biology, Pharmacology & Toxicology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biostatistics, Biochemistry, Gene/Cell Therapy, Immunotherapy, Medical Microbiology, AI-based Drug Development, Drug Formulation, Vaccine Development, Clinical Pharmacy, or a related discipline.
Additionally, candidates should demonstrate appropriate teaching experience, evidence of the ability to obtain external research funds, and produce high-quality research publications.
Desirable Qualifications and ExperienceCandidates with previous pharmaceutical industry and/or industry collaboration experience are particularly encouraged to apply.
