About the Role

HARMAN International is seeking a skilled Security Software Development Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and optimizing security software for in-vehicle systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop security software for in-vehicle systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards and security threats.
  • Develop on the Linux/Android OS platform, focusing on bootloader/kernel/native/framework layers, to optimize system performance and enhance security capabilities.
  • Implement and maintain TLS/PKI/certificate management/cryptography and other related technologies to ensure secure communication and data encryption.
  • Understand and apply encryption principles of the Android filesystem, including vold/keymaster/gatekeeper components, to safeguard secure data storage and transmission.
  • Participate in SOC Bringup and debug efforts, assisting in resolving system security issues to enhance system stability and reliability.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in developing software for in-vehicle systems, with a focus on SOC security software development.
  • Proficiency in C/C++/JAVA/Shell/Python programming languages, with a strong focus on C/C++ development.
  • Experience developing on Linux/Android OS, specifically related to bootloader/kernel/native/framework layers.
  • Understanding of technical implementation of Secure Boot/SElinux/AVB/DM-verity/QTEE.
  • Familiarity with TLS/PKI/certificate management/cryptography, and related technologies.
  • Grasp of encryption principles of the Android filesystem, including vold/keymaster/gatekeeper.
  • SOC Bringup/debug experience.
