Service Engineer for Field Operations

Position Overview

The Service Engineer is responsible for the installation and maintenance of equipment at client sites. This includes the setup of new features, unloading components, inspecting for any damage, and ensuring proper assembly, alignment, and testing of equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Assess the applicability and accuracy of equipment against design specifications, recommending design modifications or material substitutions as necessary.
  2. Diagnose and resolve technical issues, collaborating with colleagues and customers to identify and rectify problems efficiently.
  3. Perform routine maintenance and optimization of equipment to enhance performance and prevent potential issues.
  4. Provide training to customers on the operation and regular upkeep of equipment, addressing inquiries and offering professional assistance.
  5. Document administrative tasks, including work orders, service reports, and technical documentation, while preparing detailed reports independently.
  6. Spend a significant portion of time in controlled environments, working with both mechanical and electrical systems.
  7. Exhibit flexibility in work hours, including the ability to accept overtime and travel as required.
  8. Engage proactively with team members to foster a collaborative learning environment.
  9. Adapt to management directives based on organizational needs.

Educational Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent practical experience is required. Candidates should possess mechanical skills and knowledge in areas such as pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, semiconductor processes, and relevant software.

Safety and Communication

Familiarity with safety protocols is essential, along with a sufficient level of proficiency in both oral and written English.
