Job Description

Maersk is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Quality Inspector to join our team in Shanghai. As an Electrical Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of electrical installations and testing of cranes and other heavy industrial equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct on-site electrical inspections to ensure compliance with project technical specifications, design drawings, and industry standards.
  • Act as the Quality Assurance Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for specific projects as needed.
  • Assist the Head of QA Department in finalizing the Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) for assigned projects.
  • Monitor and report any Non-Conformance in cases of major deviation from Contract, Specification, Design, or Standards.
  • Prepare and submit inspection results and records in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with manufacturers and terminals to discuss and resolve quality issues related to equipment manufacturing.
  • Engage with APMT Asset Engineering to address design-related issues for problem-solving and continuous improvement.
  • Perform any other related activities as required.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of direct experience in electrical inspection within crane manufacturing industry.
  • Working experience with crane third-party inspection companies, crane manufacturing companies, or terminals is highly valued.
  • Ability to interpret electrical drawings, layouts, and specifications.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the latest industry standards, technologies, and best practices in crane electrical installation and testing.
  • Excellent communication and language skills, with proficiency in English.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and collaborate with others outside formal lines of authority.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with a willingness to take action beyond what is required.
  • Physical fitness to work in harsh industrial environments, including heavy industry facilities and terminal sites.
