Job SummaryThe Taxation Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely tax filings for 7 legal entities in China. This includes preparing tax data, handling tax applications and settlements, coordinating with Controllers and AP, and working closely with the tax manager to resolve tax controversies and queries.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical and communication skills, with a strong understanding of Chinese tax laws and regulations. Proficiency in SAP and office software is required, with experience in both Big 4 and in-house tax environments being a plus.
Responsibilities- Prepare tax filings data to ensure accurate and timely submission as required by tax regulation and tax authority for 7 legal entities in China.
- Handle tax application and settlement for non-trade payments.
- Coordinate with Controllers and AP for day-to-day tax operations.
- Work with tax manager to handle tax controversy and tax queries from the tax authorities.
- Build up contact window with in-charge tax authorities.
- Analyze and optimize internal VAT / E-invoices and other tax SOPs.
- Keep up to date with legislation and practical changes on China tax.
- Liaise and collaborate closely with audit firms, local tax authorities, and other finance members.
- Bachelor Degree or above. Degree holder in tax / accounting is a plus.
- SAP user is a must.
- Written and verbal fluency in English / Chinese.
- Working knowledge of transfer pricing and tax advisory.
- Well in office software (Word, Excel, PPT), ERP (SAP is a plus).
- More than 3 years-experience in tax, experience in both Big 4 and in-house tax is a plus.
- CICTA or CICPA is a plus.
$80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
