Job Title: Senior Contract Manufacturing Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Contract Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Cardinal Health. As a key member of our global supply chain team, you will be responsible for managing contract manufacturers and ensuring the delivery of high-quality products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage metrics targets with contract manufacturers and evaluate their performance in areas such as service, delivery, quality, compliance, and cost.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in managing technical, logistical, and operational aspects of assigned projects and processes.
  • Coordinate process audits and 3rd party inspections, providing on-site support as needed.
  • Support the preparation of periodic business and operations review meetings.
  • Analyze and support actions required for key performance indicators through a balanced scorecard, business and operation reviews, and continuous improvements across the region's supply chain operation.
  • Escalate risks and tactical operational issues with contract manufacturers and Cardinal Health.
  • Lead problem-solving on production assurance, scheduling, and replanning.
  • Lead/coordinating capability building, product changes/introduction/exit, and corrective actions.
  • Take on program manager role for new product launch/supplier onboarding, driving successful design transfer and commercial prove-out with cross-functional teams.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering.
  • ~3 to 5 years relevant work experience.
  • Contract manufacturing management experience.
  • Proven Lean Six Sigma skills to deliver complaint supply and achieve highest quality, lowest cost, and shortest lead-time.
  • Working with external parties and/or leading cross-functional teams for commercial products.
  • Specific category knowledge (Solids, Rigids, ELM/Testing).
  • This is a global position with significant focus on multiple countries within the given continent (i.e., Asia Pacific) manufacturing.
  • Frequent travel visiting critical contract manufacturers multiple times per month on-site; regular on-site presence for others; requires 50–70% travel (subject to COVID restrictions).
