About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Native Software Delivery Engineer to join our Platform Engineering team at Carrier. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing modern software delivery systems that enable our engineering teams to scale our infrastructure and platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with TestOps and TechOps leadership to ensure alignment with Platform Engineering goals.
  • Lead engineers on the operational challenges related to scalability, reliability, performance, and efficiency of our software delivery systems.
  • Help the team and other engineering leaders to continuously improve our operating processes.
  • Ensure we run a cost-effective service, monitor and make changes to hit spending targets.
  • Create DevOps architectures and standards based on the goals and requirements set forth by leadership.
Requirements
  • At least 10 years of professional experience in software delivery
  • At least 8 years of experience creating and maintaining CI/CD tooling
  • At least 6 years of experience with traditional IT infrastructure management
  • At least 4 years of experience programming in JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python
  • At least 4 years of experience delivering cloud native software
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional
  • AWS Certified Security – Specialty
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional
  • Multiple IAC Methods, such as CDK, CloudFormation, Serverless Framework, SAM, Terraform
  • Hands on experience delivering cloud native software using modern DevOps practices
  • Familiarity with Application Security concepts such as OWASP, CVE, SAST
Technical Skills
  • Deep domain expertise delivering cloud native solutions
  • Deep expertise in –DevOps theory and best practicesFully automated software deliveryServerless and cloud native software delivery
  • High level expertise in –Application TestingApplication MonitoringFull Stack Serverless Web Application DeliveryAWS Management, Security, Scalability, Reliability, Cost Optimization
