Job Responsibilities

As an onsite operator for hazardous chemicals, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our industrial facilities. This includes monitoring and controlling the production process, maintaining equipment and facilities, and adhering to strict safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

  • Health, Safety, Environment, and Legislation
    • Comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards
    • Ensure adherence to INEOS IGGN and Life Saving Rules
    • Participate in regular safety inspections and report any non-compliant behaviors
    • Verify the integrity of firefighting facilities and equipment
  • Operational Accountability
    • Manage contractor workers and ensure they follow safety protocols
    • Conduct site tours to monitor production conditions and identify potential hazards
    • Participate in emergency response drills and trainings
    • Report any incidents or accidents to management and assist in investigations
  • Process Management
    • Monitor and control production processes to ensure efficiency and safety
    • Manage equipment maintenance and repair
    • Conduct risk assessments and develop control measures to mitigate hazards

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Chemical industry experience preferred
  • Relevant licenses and certifications for hazardous chemical operations, firefighting, and electrical equipment operation

Working Conditions

This is a full-time position requiring regular working hours and occasional overtime. The successful candidate must be able to work safely in a fast-paced industrial environment and be willing to participate in regular training and development programs.
