Senior Staff Application Engineer

As a Senior Staff Application Engineer, you will engage with diverse teams to deliver innovative package designs for power modules while generating precise 3D models.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create and refine the package design of power modules, producing accurate 3D representations.
- Assist in the development and correlation of mechanical warpage and stress modeling for power module components.
- Document simulation outcomes in detail for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Formulate comprehensive test plans and documentation, supporting mechanical testing efforts. Aid in model validation through comparisons with experimental findings and field data.
- Partner with internal and external manufacturing entities to prototype designs and facilitate the transition to production.
- Provide hands-on troubleshooting, process guidance, and manufacturing support to ensure a swift development cycle.
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with over 10 years of experience in the mechanical design and development of high-volume electronic products.
- Expertise in 3D CAD software (Solidworks) and FEA tools (preferably ANSYS, SimScale).
- Capability to conduct system analyses and calculations, including stress, fatigue, reliability, life expectancy, and tolerance studies.
- Experience with power modules and thermal analysis is advantageous.
- Familiarity with the PCBA process is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication and teamwork skills.
