Engineering Lead, Clearing

As the technical decision-maker for the exchange's fund clearing and settlement system, you will be responsible for building an efficient, secure, and scalable clearing and settlement system to ensure user asset security, real-time transaction clearing, and accurate reconciliation. The system must support multi-currency, cross-chain assets, and complex business scenarios (e.g., leverage, derivatives, wealth management). You need extensive experience in developing financial-grade clearing and settlement systems, with deep understanding of blockchain fundamentals, asset custody processes, and financial compliance requirements. By constructing a highly available and auditable clearing and settlement infrastructure, you will ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of the exchange's fund flows.

Responsibilities:

1. Build and lead the clearing and settlement technical team, taking full responsibility for team development, talent recruitment, training, motivation, and performance management. Improve technical standards and processes to ensure efficient and high-quality delivery.
2. Plan and execute the technical evolution roadmap for the exchange's clearing and settlement systems. Design an architecture that supports multi-currency, multi-channel, and multi-mode settlement, continuously optimizing efficiency while ensuring system availability and fund security.
3. Establish a multi-layer reconciliation system and lead the design of the accounting system to achieve automated accounting processing.
4. Collaborate closely with various teams to ensure the security of exchange transactions and funds.
5. Analyze industry trends, propose innovative solutions, and continuously improve clearing and settlement processes and system design.

1. Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, or a related field; 8+ years of backend development experience, including 3+ years in clearing/settlement system development (securities, payment, cryptocurrency) and 2+ years in team management.
2. Proficient in at least one of the following languages: Go/Java/Rust/C++/Scala, with strong skills in big data ecosystems and rule engines.
3. Hands-on experience in high-concurrency clearing and settlement systems; must have led the design or optimization of systems handling tens of millions of daily orders, with proven experience in resolving major operational failures and improving reconciliation efficiency.
4. Deep understanding of fund security in the cryptocurrency industry, familiarity with accounting security mechanisms, clearing/settlement processes for various exchange business models, and workflows such as fund reconciliation, discrepancy handling, and fund security prevention.
5. Exceptional leadership, communication, coordination, and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to drive cross-team collaboration and influence upstream and downstream partners.
6. Strong commitment to product quality, a high sense of responsibility, and the ability to solve problems under pressure.
7. Excellent analytical skills, with the capability to address complex issues and systemic risks.

Nice-To-Have:

1. Experience in building core clearing and settlement systems for top-tier exchanges or financial institutions (securities, payment companies).
2. Familiarity with DeFi protocol liquidation models (e.g., AMM market maker settlement) or blockchain analysis tools.
3. Fluent in English and Chinese, experience with supporting overseas business operations.
