Position: Senior Engineer - Quality

Job Family: Quality Assurance/Quality Control

Job Descriptions

  • Provide technical support to quality manager, factories and customers to ensure product quality
  • Conduct factory audits to ensure that factories meet international/customers' compliance standards
  • Check samples against product specifications to ensure that they meet customers' quality standards
  • Teams with sourcing and customer quality to ensure technical specifications are adequate and vendors can deliver on quality expectations
  • Oversees sample construction process.  Works with design, technical design and vendors to reduce sample lead time and ensure samples meet customer expectations for prototypes, photo samples, and platinum samples
  • Monitor and extend QA advice to factories before and during the manufacturing process
  • Conduct in-line and final product inspections and provide advice and solutions on technical issues (e.g. construction of products/materials) considering the features and limitations of products and materials
  • Report and trouble shoot quality issues from bulk production samples sample to products finish
  • Work closely with all operational departments related to product
  • Communicating all quality issues arising from testing and assessment of product to all key stakeholders
  • Setting and communicating tolerance levels to key stakeholders
  • Defining and implementing quality assurance methodologies into the production area
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in related discipline preferred
  • Minimum 3 years' relevant experience
  • Product knowledge in European regulation and Swiss regulation. Product categories: indoor furniture, child-appealing products, Decoration, and sundries.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing process of hardline and electrical & lighting products are preferrable.
  • Knowledge of ISO9000/ISO14000/AQL 2.5/4.0 is a must
  • Hard working, able to work under pressure, self-motivated, responsive, detail minded
  • A good team player, strong interpersonal skills, ability to build strong relationships with the team
  • Well organized individual, able to manage multiple tasks, able to meet deadlines, good time management
  • Good command of written and spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin
  • Literate in Microsoft office programs
  • Frequent travel is required
