About the Role:

• Reporting to the Group COO, the Head of Trade & Supply Chain Finance (SCF) will build and grow a cutting-edge SCF business, delivering flexible, tech-driven working capital solutions for e-commerce, logistics, and trading SMEs. You'll drive strategy and execution across all WeLab units, shaping a new business line and powering SME growth in Asia.

What you'll do and what success looks like:

• Build and scale the SCF business group-wide, setting strategy, product roadmap, and go-to-market for e-commerce and digital SMEs
• Design, launch, and manage a suite of SCF products, including invoice financing, inventory financing, purchase order financing, and cross-border trade solutions
• Build a robust digital platform for seamless SME onboarding, automated credit assessment (leveraging alternative data, machine learning, and AI), and real-time transaction monitoring
• Forge and manage partnerships with e-commerce platforms, logistics providers, and payment gateways to create an integrated SME financing ecosystem
• Lead end-to-end product development, working closely with technology, risk, operations, legal, and compliance teams to ensure regulatory compliance and operational excellence
• Lead the design and implementation of an SME e-KYC onboarding process
• Drive business origination and portfolio growth through digital channels, data analytics, and innovative customer acquisition strategies
• Build and lead a high-performing SCF team, fostering innovation and collaboration across business units
• Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies to ensure WeLab's SCF offerings remain competitive and future-ready
• Develop and track KPIs, prepare business cases, and report progress to the Group COO and executive leadership

What we're looking for:

• Degree holder or above in Business Administration or equivalent disciplines
• Minimum 10 years' experience in SCF, trade finance, with strong exposure to e-commerce or digital lending
• Proven success building and scaling SCF products and platform across multiple business lines or markets
• In-depth knowledge of digital lending, alternative data credit models, and risk management for SMEs
• Experience leading SME e-KYC onboarding processes
• Familiarity with financing for e-commerce sellers and the related ecosystem will be an advantage
• Excellent problem-solving skill and strong analytical skills, with sound judgement and the ability to work in a highly adaptive, fast-paced fintech environment
• Strong leadership, partnership-building, and stakeholder management skills across diverse teams
• Excellent communication skills at native level in both English and Chinese
