PURPOSE:

This position serves for Pharma and Nutra segment in Lubrizol Life Science. It is responsible for owning and developing application, formulations to translate chemistry to value and provide technical solution to commercial internally and customer externally, taking technical project management and conducting based upon business direction and segmentation.

RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Follow internal technology gate process, to conduct pharmaceutical applications and technical service projects according to market and customer needs.
  • Plan formulation projects, design and conduct experiments, analyze results, write up protocol and report.
  • Leading tasks and using formulations and test methods – develop prototypes to meet unmet customer needs.
  • Understand and create data to support value propositions and customer value communications. 
  • Provide technical solution and related support to the customers including on-site service depending on the needs
  • Work collaboratively with other internal / external groups and apply scientific principles to extend performance understanding.
  • Report results to direct management and documents results with reports. Follow lab SOPs, maintain accurate records of experiments, results and conclusions.
  • Take part of lab administration. Conduct work within Lubrizol laboratories, in compliance with all safety policies and procedures.

REQUIREMENTS – EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS:

  • Bachelor degree in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutics with minimum 5 years of pharmaceutical formulation experience, or advance degree (MS, Ph.D) with minimum 2 years of working experience.
  • Having the working experience in Pharmacy or related company, having the role of R&D, or related science position.
  • Having pharmaceutical technology, solid knowledge of solid or semi-solid formulations, knowing well excipients function and equipment.
  • With basic analysis knowledge.
  • Strong problem anticipation & solving skill; innovative, ability to think outside the box and generate creative approaches.
  • Ability to work independently, with strong team spirit.
  • Good Chinese and English communication skills and presentation skills.
  • Self-starter, highly motivated towards goals & objectives.
