Brief description of the position:

The position holder is the central point of contact in VCTC Board department for managing the R&D content in the PEP and the cross-divisional development processes. It ensures that the development processes can be operationalized and continuously develops them in coordination with all business units, R&D departments & is responsible for documenting the coordinated processes in the dev. manual.

Key Tasks:

  • Conception, agreement and implementation of a content-related PEP target picture for VCTC R&D in coordination with collaboration projects in China & the responsible units in the VW brand and group.
  • Orchestrating the conception of measures to achieve a (China market competitive) PEP targetpicture from a technical standpoint incl. cross-department alignment as well as resolving conflicting goals.
  • Contentwise leading an interdisciplinary team for the realization of PEP-relevant procedural and organizational changes in the context of the development process target picture.
  • Prepration of decision templates for PEP-relevant process decisions and ensuring decision making in relevant boards in coordination with the process responsible units in the brand and the group.
  • Strategic indication of ressource and budget requirements of technical departments for implementation of PEP target picture as well as support of technical departments for necessary board decisions.
  • Ensuring the implementation of process measures with relevant responsible vehicle project management as well as transferring lesson learned back into standard process documentation.
  • Conception, coordination and agreement of a goal-oriented change process. Design and implementation of a change story and supporting change impulses and events in the programme.
  • Advise the business unit on the formulation of requirements, qualification & prioritisation of change needs from the business unit.
  • Design and further development of the business unit PEP development and the development manual.
  • Organization of processes for the further development and maintenance of the VCTC R&D construction specification and service specification template.

Qualification and skills required for the position: 

  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject.
  • Several years of relevant professional experience in the field of automotive development Practical experience in steering interdisciplinary teams as well as preparing for and presenting on board-level.
  • General knowledge of process, method and tool definition, documentation and training Specific experience in function- and system-oriented development as well as methodological competence in systems engineering.
  • Ideally, knowledge of relevant standards (ASPICE, MSPICE, ISO 26262, UNECE WP.29, etc.) and agile working methods (SAFe/SCRUM).
  • Analytical decision making and problem-solving skills are mandatory requirements, as well as ability to quickly adapt to changing situations and work under pressure.
