Merchandising Compliance Sr. Associate

We're building our first Merch team in Shanghai to better support suppliers and Category in the WGS region. As a Senior Associate, you'll be on the front lines resolving supplier issues, ensuring shared cross functional education, and driving improvements in Product Compliance workflows.
You'll work directly with suppliers and cross-functional partners to provide product compliance education, fix high-impact problems, provide accurate and timely support, and surface insights and proposals that shape long-term solutions. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys problem-solving, and wants to make a visible impact on supplier experience.
Our Merchandising Compliance team is responsible for keeping our customers safe, and our products, services and offerings in compliance with applicable federal or local regulations. We support those efforts through building efficient processes and scalable technology solutions. What You'll Do- Immerse yourself in the Product Compliance industry to understand industry benchmarks as a means to influence and drive roadmaps
- Resolve supplier issues and escalations in real time across Merch Compliance
- Provide supplier insights by tracking pain points and trends to inform systemic fixes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and manager to address compliance process or tooling gaps between WGS and global stakeholders on
- Help document best practices and build local knowledge tailored to WGS supplier inbound.
- Develop, implement, and oversee compliance workflows and or tools to benefit WGS suppliers
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders in legal, technology, and supplier-facing teams on compliance processes and regulations
- Improve offshore team's workflows by reviewing and thoughtfully critiquing team's work, providing actionable feedback and helpful improvements to increase accuracy and Supplier satisfaction
- Support day-to-day operations where needed
- 2+ years of experience in merchandising operations, supplier management, account management, product compliance or similar
- Attention to detail and ability to catch errors & suggest solutions
- Strong work ethic and level of urgency
- Possess strong written and verbal cross-functional communication skills work effectively with both local suppliers and global stakeholders.
- Problem-solving mindset with ability to escalate appropriately and propose solutions.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills; comfortable working with and manipulating data.
- Comfortable working with and learning new technology
- Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
- Proactive and eager to constantly seek out opportunities to make an impact
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multi-task several projects
