Engineering Team Lead

And we need an Engineering Team Lead to provide direction for the international team in our Shenzhen, China, manufacturing center. GENLED Brands is comprised of two well-established brands: AgiLight, established in 2003, and Acolyte, which opened in In recent years, we have invested heavily in new equipment and facilities. Responsibilities

  • Design and test LED luminaires and related accessories.
  • Help bring these items into production.
  • Use input from sales and marketing to develop creative solutions that are ready for manufacturing.
  • Develop manufacturing processes and test methods.
  • Support ongoing quality, product improvement and product maintenance initiatives.
  • Specify and select materials, processes and vendors.
  • Work with manufacturers and production staff to ensure products are produced within specifications and refine manufacturing processes.
  • Diagnose product failures and implement corrective actions.
  • Execution of duties in a timely manner.
  • Occasionally work after hours for meetings with team members in other time zones.
  • Occasionally travel to other company facilities, suppliers, trade shows, job sites, etc.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university (with major in mechanical or electrical engineering, or related)
  • 5+ years of related experience
  • Experience with injection molding, extruding, 3D printing, machining, casting, laser cutting preferred
  • Experience with Solidworks or related 3D software preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills (position requires collaboration across departments)
  • Fluency in English
