Operating on a significant scale, the company provides an environment that encourages technical expertise and professional growthJob DescriptionThe Successful ApplicantOperational Excellence & Strategy:Develop and execute the site's multi-year Operational Excellence strategy, directly aligning with Amphenol HSIO's financial and growth.the Amphenol Business System (ABS) or equivalent, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, standard work, and data problem-solving.Define, track, and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Productivity, driving accountability and visibility.Strategic Cost :Own the site's cost-down roadmap, a dedicated team to identify and execute projects targeting material, labor, overhead, and scrap reduction.Apply Value /Value Engineering (VA/VE) to product designs and manufacturing processes specific to high-speed and cable assemblies.Partner with Finance to establish accurate cost-saving baselines, validate project savings, and manage the departmental budget.Industrial Engineering & Process Optimization:the IE team in optimizing manufacturing layouts, work standards, and labor utilization through time studies, capacity modeling, and line balancing.Drive process standardization and robustness for critical operations such as precision molding, stamping, plating, and automated assembly.Justify and capital projects focused on automation and technological advancement to enhance quality and reduce cost.Facility & Infrastructure Management:Ensure all facilities, utilities, and production infrastructure are maintained to the standards of reliability, safety, and efficiency.Implement and sustain a Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) program to maximize equipment uptime and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).Project Transfer Management:the project transfer managers to ensure the efficient transfer of products between Amphenol HSIO sites.Serve as the primary operations in core team meetings, ensuring design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for excellence (DFX) inputs are incorporated.Develop and manage detailed project plans for transfers, ensuring all operational, quality, and cost targets are met.Team & Development:Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing, multi-disciplinary team of engineers and managers.Foster a culture of technical excellence, and accountability.Manage resource allocation and talent development to build a strong pipeline of operationalA successful Sr OpEx Manager should have:Job RequirementsBachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field. Master's degree or MBA preferred.Minimum of 10 years of experience in a high-volume, precision manufacturing environment, with at least 5 years in a senior role managing multiple functions.Proven track record of delivering significant and sustainable cost savings (>5% annually) and productivity improvements in a complex manufacturing setting.Experience in the interconnect, electronics, semiconductor, or automotive industry is highly preferred.Certified Six Sigma Black Belt is required; Master Black Belt is a plus.Deep expertise in Lean Manufacturing (VSM, Kaizen, SMED, Error-Proofing) and their application.Strong financial and business acumen, with experience in capital appropriation requests and ROI.Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and MS Office Suite.
