Sr. Business Intelligence Engineer, Risk Controls Mgt

The Amazon Global Selling Risk Controls Management (RCM) serves as the data governance, process design, tool permission management, enabling guardrail role of data, tool, employee behaviors when AGS is growing rapidly.
RCM is looking for a Business Intelligence Manager to collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop data infrastructure and analytics capabilities for AGS RCM's data governance and risk minitoring initiatives.
Key job responsibilities
- Develop BI solutions based on the business requirement through the understanding of business and this role's technical skills (SQL & Python)
- Create and drive strategic initiatives that enable data-driven decision making across the organization.
- Drive operational excellence in data engineering practices and establish best practices for the organization.
- Create scalable, long-term mechanisms for data quality and governance.
- Partners with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve seller experience friction points.
Having sense of data governance, permission control, and risk controls.
Basic Qualifications:
- 10+ years of professional or military experience
- 5+ years of SQL experience
- Experience programming to extract, transform and clean large (multi-TB) data sets
- Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis of results
- Experience with AWS technologies
- Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills.
- Experience with theory and practice of information retrieval, data science, machine learning and data mining
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs
- Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership
