About the Role

You are a passionate ADAS systems software professional, who is enthusiastic about automotive electronics and wants to define future ADAS/AD systems and in-cabin user experience.

As Principal Software Engineer within the ADAS LAB, you are an expert on the ADAS/AD software development & integration, and you have a proficient high-level understanding of all relevant neighboring domains. In our ADAS Lab, you will work on SW design, development & integration throughout the entire life cycle. With your peers within the Feature Integration & Concept team, you will prototype the design as well as prove and demonstrate technical feasibility of ADAS/AD system & SW integration into our controller families based on test setups and concept cars.

What You Will Do

• Develop and Integrate ADAS L2/L2+ SW in Central Compute Unit.
• Collaborate with SMEs to debug and improve ADAS functionality.
• Ensure high SW quality according to applicable industry standards (e.g., ISO 26262, ASPICE) and best practices.
• Provide technical guidance to DevOps, other SW and system integration engineers to enable seamless delivery and deployment.
• Collaborate closely with SMEs to continuously improve SW architecture, SW requirements and SW validation concepts.
• Maintain appropriate knowledge of current and future technologies, methods and tools, related to SW engineering and SW architecture.

What You Need to Be Successful

• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or comparable experience.
• 8 years' experience in automotive system/software development, 5 years hands-on experience in system/software development of real-time and safety critical ADAS/AD systems (Highway Assist, Traffic Jam Pilot/Highway Pilot, Automated Parking Assist, etc.).
• Experience with RTOS (e.g. QNX/Embedded Linux), POSIX, IPC, and memory management.
• Experience with distributed software architecture in ADAS Domain and Central Compute Units.
• Proficiency in programming (e.g. Python, MATLAB/Simulink, C/C++).
• Good understanding of applicable industry standards (e.g., ASPICE) and best practices.
• Good understanding of L2/L2+ features.

Bonus Points if You Have

• Experience in perception, sensor fusion, planning & control, vehicle dynamics.
• Experience or understanding in Machine Learning model deployment on different NPUs of SOC vendors (e.g. Qualcomm, Nvidia).
• Strong expertise in SW onboard debugging (e.g. Lauterbach) and Vector CANoe.
• Good understanding of hardware-level programming and system architecture.
• Good understanding of CAN, Ethernet, SOME/IP, DDS, FlexRay, and automotive communication protocols.
• Good understanding of ADAS sensor technology such as camera, radar, lidar and ultrasonic sensors.
• Good overview of Functional Safety (ISO26262), SOTIF (ISO21448), Cybersecurity (ISO21434) and ASPICE.
• Advanced understanding of ADAS/AD computing platforms (SoC & MCU).
• Advanced understanding of technology and trends (e.g., SoA, E2E technology).
