Join us as Environmental Operation Manager

You will report to Head of Plant Taicang, responsible for environmental operations for wastewater treatment, production and wastewater biomass handling and utility facilities, ensure that all industrial wastewater, production sludge and biomass generated during the production process are discharged in compliance with regulations and company standards through effective treatment within the agreed lead time, and all key environmental impact factors during the treatment process are effectively controlled. In addition, be responsible for the operation of the utility facilities to ensure the needs of each production user.
 

In this role you'll make an impact by: 

• Develop EO organization capability and necessary competencies/skills for meeting business requirements.
• Excellent fulfill daily operation and carry out production activities in line with safety procedures/rule and operation procedures; ensure quick responses and problem solving to timely treat all wastewater and sludges under control.
• Involve the process of plant strategy deployment and strategic initiatives/objects setting. As one strategic action owner, implement/facilitate initiatives/actions for achievements.
• As a member of the safety steering group, engage organization/team for improving safety culture and building the safest working place.
• Continuously improve the process of wastewater treatment and sludge handling through lean/optimization efforts and installing new technology, ensure a robust facility/process and efficient operational cost.
• Collaboration with other stakeholders (e.g. process engineering), ensure understand business needs (e.g. capacity trend), proactively manage challenges/risks through excellent operation and necessary Capex investment in place timely.
• Role as department owner, support/challenge various projects in terms of Capex project, RIEs and global projects.

To succeed you must hold: 

• Minimum B.Sc. in environmental/chemical engineering or similar subject.
• At least 3-5 years of leadership role at department level or similar group level, preferred in operation experience.
• Excellent collaboration, motivating people skills and proactive thinking ability.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in Chinese and English required.
