ERM China seeks an exceptional individual to join as an Environmental Consulting Associate to Consultant in our Capital Projects Delivery Team based in Beijing.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Act as a Consultant in Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) and Environmental and Social Due Diligence, ESG management consulting projects, which includes but not limited to:

  • Environmental and Social Impact Assessment

  • Environmental and Social Due Diligence in line with IFC standards

  • Environmental and Social/ESG Management System improvement

  • EH&S regulatory and compliance service

  • Responsible for managing small to medium size projects, from proposal development to delivery

  • Assist on project objectives from sources and methods provided by the company or developed individually

  • Communicating with clients and getting acquired information

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Master degree in environmental engineering, environmental science, sustainable development, sociology, resettlement, or related discipline

  • 1 - 3 years relevant working experience in multi-national companies is preferable. Fresh graduates with relevant internships are welcomed to apply

  • Familiar with Chinese environmental regulatory requirements and international Environmental & Social risk management standards such as IFC Performance Standards

  • Excellent report writing skills. Fluency in both written and spoken English is a fundamental requirement

  • Familiarity with software including MS Office, ArcGIS, AutoCAD, etc.

  • Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently with minimal supervision

  • Second language skill (such as French) is preferred
