Managing Director- Reputation & Communications Advisory, Corporate & Technology Sectors (SINGAPORE / KOREAN SPEAKING)

About the role

An award-winning global reputation and strategic communications consultancy firm is currently seeking a talented EVP / VP to cover APAC (including a large Korean portfolio of global clients) . This role will lead the firm helping drive the development of this cutting-edge integrated communications consultancy across the Greater region. With a renowned reputation in corporate communications, financial communications and integrated communications advisory with a growing global presence.

The ideal candidate will have experience driving communications practices within Corporate Services, Technology and/ or Corporate Affairs etc. In addition, the applicant should have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment with a commercial mindset, knowing how to hunt "new business" and "farm" existing clients. Additionally, providing counsel to clients, and building strong teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead P&L responsibilities and advance the firm's Public Relations offering alongside it's other advisory practices
  • Oversea key client relationships across the region
  • Lead client development and new business initiatives for listed and non-listed companies across PR, social, and thought leadership
  • Serve as day-to-day contact for some of the firm's largest clients in local and regional markets
  • Manage team leads on client projects, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables across the region
  • Advise clients on critical issues, brand reputation and challenging financial situations
  • Create innovative communication strategies and plans to drive client business growth
  • Develop and manage the firm's media relations and media database

About the Candidate

  • University degree in Public Relations, Media Studies or Finance
  • Minimum years of experience in corporate public relations, integrated marketing communications, media etc.
  • Experience working with clients in technology sector is also is a MUST.
  • Excellent written, verbal communication, presentation, and organizational skills
  • Solution-oriented mindset with the ability to think and write creatively and strategically, handle crisis and issues, tier one media relations, and advise C-Suite on reputational issues
  • Proficiency in written and spoken ENGLISH and KOREAN is a must as this role has both global and regional elements.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative and creative spirit
  • Willingness to travel to Korea, other APAC markets as well as US & Europe as needed by the client / Open to consider relocation to other countries in APAC
