Purpose and Mission
  • The Labs department develops and performs a wide variety of tests to characterize materials and products, from the Research and Development phase till implementation in and support towards Production and Sales.
  • In addition, labs also contribute to RR innovation results by building up expertise in core expertise domains,  scoping the new field of play, and participating in the innovation activities in different stages (pre-discovery, discovery, incubation, acceleration).
Key Activities and Responsibilities

  • Manage the operations and processes of lab
    - Keep a safe working space in mechanical lab
    - Guarantee on-time delivery of lab testing requests
    - Sustain & improve the quality of testing reports
    - Investment planning and implementatio

  • Develop and provide expertise about characterization and performance evaluation techniques for products/materials
    - Develop and share in-depth knowledge on the relation between mechanical testing and production processes and on the relevance of specific properties for applications and on the measurement of these properties. 
    - Management of test method development projects in the lab
    - Build up expertise in core expertise domains, Test method expertise development, Contribute to RR innovation initiative
    - Lead/participate in RR innovation initiatives in different stages

    - Performance management
    - Talent development
    - Regular communication with subordinates

Skills
Previous Experience
  • Managerial experience in relate positions;
  • Familar with test methods and lab operation;
  • Fluent in English - reading/ writing/speaking
Qualifications and Education
  •  Holder of a MSc or PhD of relevant science/engineering majors  (physics, chemistry, material, mechanics, etc.)
