Electronic and Electrical Direction Researcher Reporting: CTO Location: China, Shanghai Who We Are HORSE Powertrain Limited is a worldwide leader in powertrain solutions. It is born from a joint venture consolidating HORSE from Renault Group and Aurobay (Aurobay China & Aurobay Sweden) from GEELY, creating a unique Tier One business with the capability, know-how and expertise to develop ultra-low emission internal combustion engines and future powertrain technologies. HORSE Powertrain limited believes there is no one-size-fits-all solution to sustainable mobility and so is producing and developing products for the varying needs of customers around the world. Job Description: As an Electronics Researcher at Horse Powertrain Limited, you will play a key role in designing and developing electronic systems that are integral to our powertrain solutions. Your work will focus on creating innovative electronic architectures that combine our existing products with cutting-edge technologies to drive the future of mobility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electronic systems for powertrain applications, including hybrid and combustion systems.
  • Optimize electronic control units (ECUs) for improved performance, efficiency, and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electronic innovations into existing products.
  • Research and implement emerging technologies in automotive electronics, such as advanced sensor systems and high-performance computing.
  • Contribute to the creation of intellectual property and technical documentation.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong expertise in electronic circuit design, embedded systems, and automotive electronics.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, and Python.
  • Experience with automotive communication protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN, Ethernet) and electronic system design tools (e.g., Altium, Cadence).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for innovation.
