Job Purpose
Align with global quality strategy, strengthen/consolidate engineering quality control on both SEM and GC branded machines development. This position will have the purpose of leading both of SEM and GC engineering quality, include BIQ execution, APQP governance, SEM Products DFOS and broken process deployment.
Job Duties
- This position is required to work with all engineers to improve quality practices in their processes through quality manner such as daily coaching, tracking projects & scorecard, providing quality support if any poor results or negative trends occur, developing APQP training programs, providing training courses of engineering quality specifications to engineers, conducting engineering internal quality audits, facilitating management reviews, etc.
- This position is required to implement the Idea Generation Process and Corrective and Preventive action processes by clarifying and verifying all ideas with related persons and spot check, explain the validation reasons, and encourage all engineers to make contributions to achieve zero defect in engineering.
- This position is required to be a coordinator between related teams when there are issues or roadblocks during implementing BIQ/APQP/SEM DFOS/Broken Process and actions generated from the Idea Generation Process, and track its implementation progress.
- This position is required to be proactive to develop engineering quality related control methodologies and system. Encourage the implementation of the established systems/tools. Analyze and solve problems occurring during implementation.
- The incumbent will have responsibilities for BIQ execution for both of SEM and GC products, lead BIQ process improvement/maintenance, engineering BIQ data management and governance, coach and collaborate with SEM design teams. Deploy BIQ to GC program (workshop, communication, training for current engineers and refresh for the new on board engineers every year), develop/monitor BIQ process for GC (12 teams), coach and collaborate with GC team on BIQ execution.
- The incumbent will have responsibilities for APQP execution and governance for both of SEM and GC products, lead CRDC-QD design team APQP training and certificating for CQL engineering. On SEM APQP, including all of SEM programs APQP governance, facilitate SEM design team to execute APQP 7 step deliverables and engineering quality summary for monthly quality council. On GC APQP, all of CQL GC programs APQP 23 steps governance.
- The incumbent will have responsibilities for SEM Products DFOS strategy and deployment, and continue to execute with new NPIs every year, leverage EMD Products DFOS lessons learned and best practice.
- This person reports to CQL WL Machine Integration Engineering Manager and works with supervisors, system leads, engineers and other support groups.
Skills Required

Project Management: Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.
This position requires the candidate to work a 5-day-a-week schedule in the office.
