We are looking for a Geography and Environmental Systems and Societies (ESS) Teacher for an International School based in Shanghai. This is a full-time position starting from August 2025 academic year.

Located in Minhang District, this bilingual boarding school for children aged 6-18 merges the Chinese national curriculum with the International Baccalaureate. Its university-style campus offers education in Mandarin and English, integrating Chinese and international teaching methods. Job responsibilities

  • Teach geography and environment systems & societies subjects to students in secondary education utilizing the IGCSE and A-Level framework and ensuring an engaging and enriching learning experience
  • Preparing lessons and lectures, tutoring techniques, designing and correcting assessments, and writing report comments
  • Collaboratively teach alongside fellow educators, actively contributing to the development and enhancement of the school's curriculum
  • Assess and monitor students progress and provide targets so that all learners can succeed and improve
  • Provide clear and constructive feedback to students and their parents and caregivers
  • Develop supportive and safe learning environments

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher status with 3-5 years of teaching experience
  • Willingness to teach across 3-4 grade levels
  • Knowledge of world-class science curriculums, including UK and International, and their assessment methods
  • Proficiency in addressing individual needs through differentiated instruction and diverse learning strategies

Salary and benefits

  • Monthly salary of 29,000 to 35,000 RMB commensurate with experience and qualifications
