About the role

As a Backend Developer, you will design, develop, maintain, and improve software for various venture projects, i.e., projects that are adjacent to our core businesses and are bootstrapped quickly with a lean team. You will be actively involved in the design of various components behind scalable applications, focusing on backend infrastructure.

This role is specifically focused on back-end development. While we value the versatility of full-stack developers, we're currently seeking candidates with deep expertise and specialization in back-end technologies only.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement solutions to complex problems in large-scale infrastructure
• Create web applications in a distributed environment
• Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Frontend, DevOps, QA, and PM, to improve the tech stack for long-term engineering initiatives

Requirements

• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or related technical field
• Experience in developing large-scale applications in Java / Kotlin or other JVM programming languages
• Experience in Spring framework
• Experience with is a plus
• Knowledge or experience in Reactive programming is a plus
• Knowledge or experience in PostgreSQL is a plus
• Knowledge or experience with AWS is a plus
• Knowledge or experience in Redis, and RabbitMQ is a plus
• Good motivation and interest in blockchain and cryptocurrency
• Strong interest and ability to learn other coding languages as needed, a fast learner, and have a "get things done" mentality
• Humble to embrace better ideas from others, eager to make things better, open to challenges and possibilities
• Good command of spoken and written English
