Hong Kong Island, China Susquehanna International Group, LLP Full time CN¥600,000 - CN¥1,200,000 per year
Overview

Susquehanna is seeking a Compliance Associate to join our team supporting the Institutional Sales Trading Desk. This role will play a key part in the development of our institutional trading platform in APAC, including the design and implementation of compliance programs to support the region's growth. We are looking for a candidate with prior experience in client-facing businesses in Asia and a strong understanding of regional regulatory environments.

As a Compliance Associate based in our Hong Kong office, you'll help ensure trading activity in China complies with local regulations. You will collaborate closely with Traders, Technology, and Operations from the Compliance desk, providing timely guidance and post‑trade monitoring.

This role is intentionally junior and built for growth. You'll receive hands‑on mentorship from a senior compliance lead, a structured ramp plan, and increasing ownership of defined controls and projects with visibility across APAC. In this role, you will gain direct exposure to multi‑asset trading (equities, fixed income, futures/ETFs, commodities/options) in a market‑making environment, in one of the largest global prop trading firms.

What you'll do

  • Provide advice and compliance oversight to sales and traders covering equities and fixed income products
  • Fostering trust and collaboration between key departments (Technology, Operations, Legal and the Business)
  • Excellent communication skills and comfortable working with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Keeping up to date with relevant regulatory/rule changes and ensuring best practices standards are adhered to
  • Assisting in responding to regulatory inquiries and investigations
  • Strong data and reporting skills as well as excellent organisatonal skills and high attention to detail.
What we're looking for
  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience with a demonstrated interest in financial markets
  • Knowledge of Securities and Futures Ordinance and The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Rules
  • A highly motivated self-starter, who learns quickly and works well under pressure
  • A critical thinker with strong analytical, problem solving and organisational skills
  • A proactive team player, who enjoys working collaboratively across teams and disciplines
  • Possess effective interpersonal and communication skills; the candidate should be outgoing, communicative, persuasive, and curious.
