Opening in the fall of 2026, BASIS Bilingual School Beijing brings our renowned curriculum to the capital of China. The school will open with grades Kindergarten through 9 and grow to become a Pre-K through Grade 12 school with a capacity of 2,300 students, and boarding facilities for 800 students.

BASIS Bilingual School Beijing is located on the north side of Anfu Street in Houshayu, Shunyi District, Beijing. As one of Beijing's key new urban developments, Shunyi is a hub for international education and an attractive location for foreign teachers. The area is surrounded by multiple high-level residential and expat communities, creating a rich cross-cultural atmosphere. 

As a Music teacher, you build upon a strong foundation of music skills, diving deeper into melodic and rhythmic concepts, instrument types and families, vocal posture and breathing, and other topics and skills. You guide students to think both critically and creatively about the role of music in the human experience and as a form of self-expression. You also collaborate with fellow teachers to bring music into history, technology, and other areas to provide further context and enhance student learning. Throughout the academic year, you organize and engage in numerous events to showcase your student's work. 

You will also: 

• Foster meaningful relationships with each student to ensure a personalized and successful learning trajectory 
• Guide students in pursuing academic achievement, personal responsibility, and intellect 
• Pursue continuous professional growth by participating in ongoing professional development, collaborating with colleagues, and staying informed on the latest educational techniques and best practices in your field 
• Contribute to a positive and collaborative school community 

Who We're Looking For

• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in your subject area (Elementary and Early Education degrees are also highly valued for Pre-K through Grade 5).
• Experience: At least two years as the lead teacher in a classroom, a requirement for obtaining a working visa.
• Collaboration: A team player eager to share and learn from colleagues worldwide.
