  • Coordinate discipline engineering to support yard fabrication.
  • Understand the full scope of work, contract type and milestone schedules.
  • Co-ordinate requirements for construction engineering and technical support with the engineering and design and layout teams and the MCS group from design stage to work pack compilation and execution.
  • Take part in design and constructability reviews to ensure adequate planning, material identification and input at design stage through to hook up.
  • Solve problems and initiate site queries to ensure fabrication productivity.
  • Co-ordinate material issue including material requisition, report fabrication progress and issue notices for critical actions.
  • Review scope changes, additional works or reworks and initiate revision orders / change orders, and register into DTCMS.
  • Review project scope of work and Task Listing, schedules, specifications and understand the requirements and deliverables.
  • At project commencement review the fabrication schedule, suggest corrections to the planning team.
  • Review design model / drawings for constructability and identify any special items / subcontract requirements.
  • Raises site queries to implement revisions to assist build sequencing and improve productivity.
  • Review vendor data for interdisciplinary interfaces as required.
  • Monitor work pack issue and advises priorities to the lead designer and discipline manager based on material availability and scheduled deliveries etc.
  • Provide assistance to MCS group in the requirements for material top up orders and miscellaneous requirements.
  • Raise Site Queries to utilise available material (substitutions) or deviations as required.
  • Prepare and issues activity notice to the client / all concerned people.
  • Report weekly fabrication progress and monitors production man-hours and productivity.
  • Review 4 week look ahead plans and identify the constraints (material / drawings )
  • Develop and Co-ordinate with construction engineer to ensure procedures are issued timely / all parties understand any change.
  • Co-ordinate and support construction supervisor to manage sub-contractors if any.
  • Preparation of punch lists, and closure tracking
  • Red line mark up and signing of as-built fabrication drawings.
  • Besides the above-listed, shall be responsible for other duties assigned by department manager or the company.
