About the Team

We are Division Commercial Vehicle Solutions, we are currently expanding our innovation team and looking for new innovators joining us in Shanghai. As the innovation hub in APAC for commercial transport, product innovation APAC is developing the differentiation and breakthrough technology solutions with strong customer value in the domains of A (ADAS and AD) C (Connectivity) and E (Electrification) for future business growth.

What you can look forward to as a System Development Engineer Product Innovation:

  • Analyze use-cases and application scenarios, create functional and system requirements, design E&E architecture
  • Build functional prototypes, includes the installation of major sensors (radar, cameras, etc.) and DCU, software flashing, vehicle systems modification, configuration changes, and system wiring connections
  • Take the lead to validate the developed concepts with prototypes by performing tests in lab or vehicles
  • Track changes in project requirements, identify technical risks, and assist the Innovation Project Manager in making timely adjustments to the project
  • Build up and implement Innovation Validation Plans (IVPs) based on concept studies and validation results
  • Summarize the development results (design, test…) and make transfer to serialization per requests
  • Support project reviews depending on the project phase
  • Generate patents for protection of innovative solutions in close cooperation with Patent Engineer

Your Profile as a System Development Engineer Product Innovation:

  • Master's degree or above majored in mechanical / electronic / automotive engineering
  • Minimum 5 years working experience in automotive product engineering, R&D experience in ADAS is advantageous
  • Good knowledge of vehicle E&E architecture, sensors, DCUs, and other electronic components
  • Familiar with CANalyzer/CANape and RCP toolchain, while MATLAB, python or C++ is advantageous
  • Clear mind with logic thinking. Can-do attitude when confronted with tough challenges, takes immense responsibility to achieve best results. Strong team player with good cooperation spirit
  • Naturally inquisitive & passionate about innovations and future technologies, high motivation to learn
  • Fluent English skills, both written and verbal are compulsory
  • Experience in working within a Global matrix environment is a plus
