Opening in the fall of 2026, BASIS Bilingual School Beijing brings our renowned curriculum to the capital of China. The school will open with grades Pre-K through 9 and grow to become a Pre-K through Grade 12 school with a capacity of 2,300 students, and boarding facilities for 800 students. 

BASIS Bilingual School Beijing is located on the north side of Anfu Street in Houshayu, Shunyi District, Beijing. As one of Beijing's key new urban developments, Shunyi is a hub for international education and an attractive location for foreign teachers. The area is surrounded by multiple high-level residential and expat communities, creating a rich cross-cultural atmosphere. 

Highly focused on academic outcomes, the Head of Primary Programs is responsible for establishing student support programs that lead to exceptional student outcomes. Through elevated expectations of student capabilities and a willingness to ensure that all students have the support they need to be successful, this person will take a data driven approach to assessing the needs of the students and allocate the resources needed to enhance the students' educational experience. 

Responsibilities: 

• Coordinate primary academic programs to support students in situations relating to social integration in/out of the classroom 
• Instruct teachers on child development best practices 
• Create procedures for extreme behavior occurrences 
• Monitor parent communications 
• Manage parent expectations 
• Create procedures for collecting or organizing substitute plans and recruit Teachers and Teaching Fellows for substitute duty which the Curriculum Coordinator then manages  

What We're Looking For

• Master's degree required
• 3-5 years experience in an educational setting 
• Administrative experience in an educational setting preferred
