该职位来源于猎聘 The candidate will own engineering responsibilities for all Cavotec's shipboard shore power retrofit projects. Type of retrofit can be either turnkey, repair and upgrading. Project execution takes place either during voyage or at shipyards, or at times, both.

Shore power/ HVSC/ Alternative Maritime Power (AMP)/ Cold-ironing system enables vessels to connect to shore power while at berth, hence minimizing emissions and noises from the ship's auxiliary engines. The retrofitted system will be integrated with ship's existing electrical distribution and necessary instrumentation and monitoring systems.

The Candidate Will Ensure The System Design Is In Accordance With Contract Specifications, Class Rules, And All Applicable Ship-type And Port-specific Regulations. The Candidate Will Also Participate In The Selection Of Equipment Suppliers And Service Providers For All Necessary 3rd Party Activities As Well As Site Supervision, And Commissioning Works. The Candidate Will Have Close Interactions Across All Departments Of The Organization. Project Engineering

• Participate in electrical system design and ship main drawing reviews, ensuring compliance with class rules, project specifications, and AMP system requirements. preparation and review of class required engineering drawings and documents for ship shore connection retrofit
• Review of ship drawings for development of new concept solutions for retrofit projects
• Contribute to main switchboard modification design and implementation, including preparation and review of relevant technical documentation and schematics. also participation on site during SB modification both LV and MV vessels
• Manage technical correspondence with classification societies, suppliers, and contractors regarding switchboard modifications and related engineering matters.
• Conduct onboard inspections and prepare detailed technical reports to support design validation and installation readiness.
• Act as site supervisor during installation, ensuring that switchboard modifications and AMP system integration are executed safely, on schedule, and according to approved designs.
• Support Project Manager and proposal preparation team throughout retrofit tender stage. Collaborate with marine retrofit team in ensuring retrofit solution is practical and cost-effective during implementation, during voyage and/or at shipyard.
• Correspondences with classification society for the approval of drawings of given projects
• Incorporate Cavotec's shore power products on all retrofit solutions. Propose modifications of Cavotec's products when required.
• Develop shore power retrofit engineering competencies within the organization. Procurement engineering:
• Review of equipment purchase technical specifications and all technical correspondences with suppliers and subcontractors
• Support marine retrofit team in the selection and management of equipment suppliers and service providers. This includes attending FAT of 3rd party equipments.
• Lead all technical discussions and review all technical proposals submitted by external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Graduate/ postgraduate qualifications in an additional Engineering field will be advantageous.
• At least 5 years of working experience in marine industry
• At least 3 years of working experience in the engineering department of shipyards, marine retrofit organizations or shipping companies
• Well-versed in IACS member class regulations for merchant ship design
• Resourceful in the ship repair market
• Excellent communication skills at all levels of hierarchy
• Proficiency in English – both written and oral communication
