Brief description of the position:

To be successful, our products have to cope with a challenging field of demands regarding costs, time, customer wishes or legal requirements. The key-method to meet functional demands as the R&D is Systems Engineering (SE). Systems Engineering is a comprehensively and profound change in the kind of development. The "Verification & Validation architect" accompanies the specific vehicle projects with precise process-, method- and tool-related support regarding Verification & Validation.

Key Tasks:

• Mentoring affected projects and stakeholders within the context of optimised working methods for functional development regarding verification & validation
• Deriving and analysing the needs of verification manager and functional developers regarding processes, methods and tools
• Analyzing the specific need for change in dedicated projects with practical expertise regarding verification & validation
• Defining the desired project-related state derived from an overall rollout strategy in the sense of a consistent verification & validation
• Defining the role-specific need for change in specific projects related to the future development road map or strategy
• Developing of customer-related shopping lists for appropriate information formats regarding the necessary changes for affected projects additionally to personal support
• Testing & recommending qualification opportunities at VCTC for development business units and promoting the change support of affected projects during the introduction of new working methods regarding verification & validation
• Evaluation of project-specific qualification concept to enhance the understanding of consistent verification & validation in the specific project-context
• Reporting the project-specific achievements of using optimised work methods and lessons learned as well as challenges and measures to solve them
• Support of planning and executing the process for organizational change within the context of functional development at VCTC R&D

Qualification and skills required for the position:

• Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related studies.
• Several years of relevant professional experience in the field of automotive development.
• Practical experience in change projects and development of learning strategies. 
• General knowledge of defining process, method and tools (PMT)
• General knowledge of developing training concepts and coaching formats
• Specific experience in function- and system-oriented development and methodological competence in Systems Engineering (SE)
• Knowledge of development standards e.g. ASPICE, MSPICE, ISO 26262, UNECE WP.29
• Knowledge of agile working methods e.g. SAFe, SCRUM
• Knowledge in communication processes and organizational change management
