to join an unannounced title based in our Shanghai office (5 days in the office).

What You Will Do
We are looking for a Lead Server Engineer, Data to help build the next generation of our games. You will lead a team of passionate engineers while developing core systems and features that power large-scale, real-time experiences for our game. You'll work on complex technical challenges involving real-time interaction, large-scale systems, and a persistent shared world used by tens of millions of players.

What We're Looking For

• Programming Expertise: Proficiency in Java is required. You should have experience building production-grade services using Java, with strong knowledge of performance tuning, and modern development best practices.
• Data & Distributed System Technologies: Hands-on experience with Apache Spark is required. You should be comfortable developing and optimizing large-scale data processing pipelines.

• Experience with at least one major OLAP technology is required, such as:

• ClickHouse

• StarRocks
• MaxCompute
• Presto

Bonus Points

• Familiarity with columnar database internals is preferred

• Experience with the following technologies is a plus:

• Apache Beam

• Kubernetes

• Airflow

• Data Compliance: Familiarity with Chinese data compliance regulations is preferred, especially around data residency, data export restrictions, and industry-standard security practices.

• Demonstrated ability to work closely with the legal team to ensure all systems and processes meet regulatory and compliance requirements.
