, ensuring our products meet the highest global performance standards.
We are seeking a
hands-on R&D leader
with deep expertise in
RFID antenna and inlay design
. This person will drive innovation, lead our R&D team, and ensure Arizon remains at the forefront of
RFID antenna performance, materials and packaging applications, and ARC compliance
across diverse industries.
Key Responsibilities
Technology & R&D Leadership
- Lead the R&D team in designing, developing, and optimizing RFID antennas (UHF near-field and far-field) and inlays for diverse applications.
- Define and drive Arizon's technology roadmap, aligning R&D priorities with business strategy and customer needs.
- Oversee prototyping, testing, and transition from design to mass production, ensuring manufacturability and cost efficiency.
- Track and evaluate global RFID technology trends (materials, chipsets, antenna design, printing, packaging) and identify opportunities for innovation.
ARC & Compliance
- Maintain and expand ARC qualification across product categories by developing designs that meet Auburn University RFID Lab testing standards.
- Collaborate closely with Auburn University RFID Lab, certification bodies, key clients, and stakeholders to secure and sustain ARC qualifications.
- Advance R&D in tag materials and packaging,
ensuring antenna and inlay performance across a wide range of applications and environments, while ensuring compliance with relevant
regulatory, safety, and ESG standards
(e.g., FDA where applicable, chemical hazard, recyclability, and sustainability). - Integrate international regulatory and performance standards (US/EU/Asia frequency bands, durability, environmental testing) into the design cycle.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with Product Management, Manufacturing, and Sales teams to deliver customer-ready solutions that balance
performance, durability, and cost
. - Support customer engagements by providing deep technical expertise in
antenna design, materials/packaging, and ARC performance. - Coordinate with global production centers
(China, Taiwan, Vietnam, US) to ensure R&D output is aligned with
manufacturing capabilities and scalability.
Team & Organizational Leadership
- Build and mentor a high-performing R&D team with strong antenna, RF engineering, and materials/packaging capabilities.
- Establish best-practice processes for R&D, prototyping, and lab testing to ensure agility and scalability.
- Champion intellectual property (patents, know-how) in antenna and RFID design to strengthen Arizon's competitive position.
Qualifications & Experience
- Master's degree or PhD in
Electrical Engineering, RF/Microwave Engineering
, or a closely related field. - 10+ years of experience
in RFID antenna design, RF engineering, or related wireless communications hardware. - Proven ability to take antenna products from
concept through mass production
. - Experience with
ARC certification
processes, RFID standards (EPCglobal, ISO), and regulatory compliance. - Strong knowledge of
RFID inlay materials, substrates, adhesives,
and
packaging design
for durability, reliability, and compliance across industries, including food safety, chemical hazard, and sustainability/recyclability standards where applicable. - Proficiency with
simulation and test tools
(e.g., HFSS, CST, ADS, VNAs, anechoic chambers). - Leadership experience managing
multi-disciplinary R&D teams
. - Bilingual proficiency in Mandarin and English
(native-level in one and professional working proficiency in the other). - Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-regional internal teams and external stakeholders.
