Sourcing Engineer

The Sourcing Engineer will be responsible for Liquid Cooling Systems & Components like sheet metal, pump, valve, heat exchanger, wiring harnesses and other refrigeration system related material sourcing and management including - handling daily RFQ, developing and implementing the commodity sourcing strategy through analysis of global markets, raw material trends, technology, value chain analysis, and long term sourcing plans. Perform industry research to identify qualified supplier candidates to meet company's needs. Benchmark best in class suppliers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 主要职责

1. Work with R&D team to identify appropriate suppliers for specific project/part.

与研发部门合作识别特定项目/物料对应合适的供应商。

1. Review supplier's quotation and conduct deep analysis to justify the cost.

审查供应商报价并深度分析确认成本。

1. Review supplier DFM/exceptions and communicate to cross-function team.

审查供应商DFM/异议部分并和交叉功能小组沟通。

1. Understand type of supplier relationship required, ongoing oversight of supplier relationships with responsibilities for all commercial aspects including negotiations, contracts, partnerships etc.

理解供应商关系需求类别,持续管理供应商关系,负责所有商业方面包含谈判,合同和伙伴关系等。

1. Source, qualify, and approve new suppliers with the SQM team for existing/new commodities to enhance our supplier base to meet or exceed customer expectations.

1. Works with internal customers to ensure specifications and statements of work are appropriate, manages performance to project schedules and enforces the supplier obligation to meet such schedules for the tasks or products required.

1. Travel to various supplier locations to investigate new opportunities, improve manufacturing efficiencies, and resolve any supply chain or quality issues.

1. Monitor various supplier performance metrics including related value elements, performance trends and risk analysis to ensure category strategy is working and corrective action taken when needed.

1. Drive continuous Improvement cost reductions through the life of the supplier contracts.

1. Ensure delivery against savings targets at required quality levels.

Required Competencies and Characteristics: 能力和特征需求

3. Bachelors degree in engineering and/or an equivalent combination of training, certification(s) and experience. 工程学士学位或获得相关培训、证书和经验。

4. 5+ years related experience in sourcing and procurement area.五年采购相关工作经验。

5. Experience in compressor-based chillers, liquid-to-liquid and ambient cooling systems is required. 需要有基于压缩机的液对液和对环境的冷却系统领域工作经验。

6. Must have working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO/TS16949 and ISO 14001 practices and Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)
