About the Role

This position is primarily responsible for implementing and monitoring EMC test plan executed as required as well as analyze raw test data and create draft test reports.

This position participates in the development of new EMC test methods per customer requirements. Including requirement analysis, test planning, execution, failure analysis and reporting test result.

What You Will Do

• Lead EMC HW validation project execution. Main contact to discuss EMC test related topics with the OEM.
• Expert in a field of EMC validation, act as Harman global technical expert in this area and support training lees experienced team members.
• Collaborate with internal customers to review and develop/improve test plans, timing and test methods.
• Estimate cost, effort and equipment required to execute project validation.
• Design, develop, implement and verify new EMC test methods based on the automotive industry trends.
• Work closely with tools team, software team, and others to prepare periphery equipment, Harness, SW and tools to support and automate tests.
• Assist product design quality review with HW/ECE to ensure our design initially meet latest EMC requirements.
• Provide EMC design suggestions and explain test parameters to customers as required by CG team.
• Tracking the testing status, review the setup, review test data and evaluate the test result. Summary the test result, follow up the failure fix status, update project execution to EMC manager and CRM/CPM. Provide professional suggestions for detected EMC failures.
• Resolves test disputes by reviewing test specifications, pass/fail criteria, and test processes with Design Engineering, test technicians, and management, making modifications where necessary.
• Other assigned tasks by management.

What You Need To Be Successful

• BSEE, BSEET, BSCS, BS Physics or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years EMC qualification or related experience with Automotive electrical products testing or development.
• Excellent English communication ability.
• Problem solving skills (such as 5why's, fishbone, 8D, etc.) is a must.
• Limited manual dexterity required.
• MS Excel, Power point, Word, Project, Visio operating.

Bonus Points if You Have

• Experience in DVP review and effort estimation.
• Familiar with Automotive international EMC standards. Knowledge in automotive OEM specs is a plus.
• Proficiency in computer languages: C/C++, Python, LabView/Lab Windows, etc.
• Qualified knowledge in EMC field. Automotive grade EMC validation or development knowledge.
• Well trained in problem solving methodology.
• Familiar with ISO 17025 quality system.
• iNarte Certification.
