The Business Development Sales Professional is responsible for new account development in existing or new markets. Typically, does not have a base business where they are responsible for the retention or expansion of business at existing customers

General Responsibilities

  • Oversees new account development within an established geographic territory/product line.
  • Advises on connecting, contacting, and engaging new potential clients and prospects.
  • Leads a strong and consistent pipeline of new business.
  • Oversees customer needs and suggest appropriate products and services
  • Innovates and create sales skills and knowledge of the organization's products, services and customers
  • Oversees implementing efficiency opportunities such as distributor dashboards, etc.

Experience / Qualifications

  • A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience
  • Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
  • Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
  • Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
  • Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
  • Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)

Position Summary
We are looking for a strategic and hands-on Business Development Professional to lead our expansion into the Data Center market in China, a key growth vertical for our industrial division in 2026 and beyond. This role is a hybrid of market strategy + business development, requiring deep understanding of data center infrastructure, strong commercial acumen, and the ability to independently build and grow a new business from the ground up.

This is NOT a traditional sales role. We are seeking someone with product/marketing expertise or industry consulting background, who can identify market trends, define go-to-market strategies, and drive execution with both internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate is aggressive, analytical, and highly articulate, with strong reporting and presentation skills

Responsibilities

  • Lead market intelligence and strategic analysis for the data center vertical, including customer segmentation, competitor mapping, and trend forecasting
  • Define and execute go-to-market strategies for data center-related products/solutions (e.g., cooling, connectivity)
  • Identify and engage key stakeholders across hyperscale, colocation providers, integrators, and OEMs
  • Build strong pipeline of new business opportunities and drive early-stage customer engagement
  • Collaborate with product management, engineering, and regional teams to align market needs with internal capabilities
  • Prepare executive-level reports, business cases, and strategic presentations for internal and external audiences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or above; MBA or relevant master's degree is a plus
  • 8+ years of experience in product management, strategic marketing, or consulting within the data center, IT data infrastructure, or industrial solutions space
  • Deep knowledge of data center ecosystem, including key players, technologies, and pain points
  • Proven track record of independently driving new business initiatives from strategy to execution(0-1)
  • Strong analytical thinking, structured problem-solving, and strategic planning skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in both English and Mandarin
  • Proficient in PowerPoint and Excel; strong reporting and storytelling abilities
  • Aggressive, proactive, and comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-paced environments
  • Preferred Backgrounds
  • Product / Marketing experts from top-tier suppliers for data-center industry
  • Strategy consulting background with a focus on the data center industry
  • Priority will be given to those with relevant experience in cooling, connectors, quick plugs, wiring harnesses, or energy storage temperature control solutions for modular data centers.
