What You'll Build

The SAP Internship Experience Program is SAP's global, strategic, paid internship program that provides university students with opportunities to find purpose in their careers. This is more than an internship, it's the foundation for a career built on connection, creativity, and impact.

Position title: SAP iXp Intern – / Full Stack Developer Intern

Location: Shanghai, China

Expected start date to end date: Early Mid 2026

1. Storefront Engineering ):

2. Design and build scalable commerce storefront features using , React, and

3. Implement high-performance UI components and leverage SSR (Server-Side Rendering) / SSG (Static Site Generation) to ensure SEO friendliness and fast load times.

4. AI-Assisted Development:

5. Actively utilize AI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor) to accelerate the development lifecycle.

6. Use AI tools to generate boilerplate, write comprehensive tests, refactor code, and troubleshoot issues efficiently.

7. Serverless & Edge Architecture:

8. Develop backend logic and APIs using Serverless functions.

9. Optimize content delivery strategies using CDN capabilities to minimize latency and handle high-traffic events for global shoppers.

10. Performance Optimization:

11. Monitor and improve Core Web Vitals to guarantee a smooth and responsive experience across all devices and network conditions.

What You'll Bring

We're looking for someone who takes initiative, perseveres, and stay curious. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning.

• Availability: Must be able to commit to a continuous internship for at least 6 months.
• Education: Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Core Skills: Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript. Solid understanding of the runtime.
• Frameworks: Hands-on experience with React and the framework is a must.
• Infrastructure: Basic understanding of web protocols (HTTP), CDN caching strategies, and Serverless computing concepts (e.g., AWS Lambda, Vercel).
• Problem Solving: Enthusiastic about new technologies with a strong ability to solve problems using available documentation and AI tools.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications (Bonus)

• Experience building e-commerce platforms or familiarity with Headless Commerce architecture.
• Active open-source contributions or a portfolio of full-stack personal projects on GitHub.
• Experience with edge computing platforms like Vercel Edge or Cloudflare Workers.
