Job Description: 

We are looking for a Staff/Senior Storage Field Application Engineer to join our SSD product FAE team. Our product FAE team mainly focuses on customer technical service, including customer channels or OEM projects, issue tracking, responding to customers, and relaying customer's real requirements feedback to internal engineer teams. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Deeply study the SSD product requirements and customer specification requirements
  • Deeply study firmware feature implements and test cases or validation processes internally
  • Focus on customer technical service, handle issue tracking, customer requirements, new product promotion, design kit release and so on
  • Focus on duplicating the issue from customer sites and try to reproduce internally

Job Requirements: 

  • Educational background in EE, CS or related fields; BS degree with 5+ years of Storage Field Application Engineer experience
  • Expertise in JTAG. I2C, UART, SMBUS and SPI interface
  • Experience in SSD product technical service, especially OEM projects
  • Familiar with OEM test procedure and requirements
  • Good knowledge of SSD product FW/HW features
  • Knowledge of PCIe, NVMe, NAND bus (ONFI/Toggle) protocol
  • Trouble shooting skills: FW log and HW trace recording
  • Knowledge of test equipment, such as Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzer, PCIe/NVMe protocol analyzer and so on
  • Good written and spoken English is required

Skills and Knowledge preferred but not required:

  • Knowledge of OEM SSD requirements
  • NAND Storage product design validation test (DVT) for Channel and PEM projects and qualification experience
  • SSD controller or SSD drive validation and debug experience
  • Expertise on PCIe/NVMe, JEDEC, NAND protocol
