Job Description:

General Responsibilities:

The Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for developing, monitoring and maintaining Belkin quality processes and standards for Belkin products Battery Packs at supply base to assure supplier quality and continual 100% customer satisfaction. 

Specific responsibilities:

In conjunction with the Director of SQA & SQA manager, the QAE executes and maintains comprehensive product & process quality plans for hard goods . He or she should establish and maintain quality performance metrics that drive continuous improvement in business performance. Essential responsibilities are:

  • Partnering with Global Purchasing, participate in the selection and development of Battery & Powerbank product suppliers
  • Partnering with Global QA, prepare and implement Supplier Manufacturing Plans prior to mass production
  • Review documentation to ensure the products are meeting the Belkin quality standards.
  • Monitor First Article Sample (FAS) approval process. Verify corrective action prior to mass production.
  • Champion and train suppliers on primary quality tools; SPC, Problem Solving, DFx, FMEA, etc. Improve outgoing quality by Statistic Process Analysis and Control
  • Serve as manufacturing focal point for intelligent analysis of quality issues, determining true root cause and permanent corrective and preventive actions.
  • Provide training to less-senior engineers and inspectors within the Quality function.
  • Perform Failure Analysis and coordinate return/complaint resolution.
  • Communicate with the external laboratory regarding new updated regulations and requirements. Incorporate all new compliance into SQA's general internal requirements

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • B.S. degree required in engineering discipline, EE preferred.
  • Seven (7) years' experience in the QA field with significant hands-on quality and manufacturing experience in Powerbank products, Battery cell or equivalent. Exposure to Anker products is a plus.
  • Solid QA skills. Understand and able to generate quality metrics
  • Demonstrate good interpersonal skills and good attitude in working with China factories, overseas customers and internal colleagues. Good command in English both writing and speaking
  • Able to work independently under pressure and can accept multiple tasks simultaneously
