Your Responsibilities:

This position holds the responsibility for the described tasks for the VW Group and the brands (Audi, VW), VCTC, CARIZON for the Chinese market. This position has to serve a large amount of interfaces within Volkswagen Group China, in respective field of technology development of ADAS/ ADAP/ ICV.

  • Responsible for path planning and vehicle control module software architecture design, algorithm development, and software delivery of APA/RPA/TPA functions
  • Responsible for longitudinal and lateral control software architecture design, algorithm development, and software delivery of APA/RPA/TPA functions
  • Responsible for the design, development, and software delivery of obstacle distance and time to collision calculation module in the parking function
  • Responsible for the design, development, and software delivery of vehicle localization module in the parking function according to IMU and chassis signals
  • Responsible for the design, development, and software delivery of parking slot management module in the parking function, including parking slot tracking and iteration and parking target points calculation
  • Responsible for jointly defining relevant interaction behaviors and interfaces with the perception fusion module and other related system and achieving optimal design for planning and control
  • Responsible for debugging the functions and performance of the parking system development
  • Responsible for establishing and implementing a data loop for the offline simulation environment of the path planning and control module

Required Qualification:

  • Education: This position requires a Master/ Bachelor degree in automotive, electrical, computer engineering or respective field.
  • Work Experience: 5 years of professional working experience. Experience in parking system development is required.
  • Special Skills:
    • Proficient in characteristics related to controlled components, including power, steering, and braking system
    • Proficient in global path planning and local path planning algorithms, including Hybrid A *, Lattice Plan, etc
    • Proficient in vehicle motion path planning curves, including Dubin curves, RS curves, spline curves, etc
    • Proficient in vehicle motion related control algorithms, including PID, MPC, LQR, rear axle feedback, etc
    • Familiar with the characteristics of perception sensors, including USS, vision, IMU, etc
    • Familiar with relevant development tools, languages including MATLAB/Simulink, CANAPE, INCA, CANOE, Lauterbach, C/C++, Python and data format.
    • Familiar with vehicle kinematics and dynamic models
