Your Role

Our Corporate Actuarial Service Life/Health Unit  is seeking to appoint a dynamic individual as Actuarial Analyst to work in our Shanghai office. In this role, you will support the reserving activities as well as actuarial and financial reporting for Life/Health business in China.

Your Key Responsibilities  

  • Support the
    actuarial reporting under local statutory/IFRS bases and solvency regime
  • Support the reserve
    calculation (e.g., Mathematical Reserve/IBNR) under German GAAP
  • Support AXIS
    modelling and maintenance of AXIS model for local statutory (CROSS) and IFRS
    17 reporting
  • Support the IFRS 17
    implementation in China
  • Conduct, review or
    validate experience studies to develop reserving bases and best estimate
    bases
  • Participate in
    regional and international initiatives and projects




Your Profile 
  • A near qualified Actuary with 2 - 5 years of relevant work experience in a life insurance or reinsurance company in China
  • Working knowledge of statutory or local GAAP reporting requirements in China
  • Solid knowledge and prior experience in AXIS or other actuarial software (e.g., Prophet)
  • Proficient in coding (e.g., Python or R), database (e.g.MS Access, SQL) and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI)
  • Good command of Chinese and English, both spoken and written
  • Strong attention to detail and sense of accountability
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
