PURPOSE.

  • Bring data engineering practice on Cloud into the organization
  • Build and deliver cloud infrastructure and solutions to meet the data and cloud demands of AI, machine learning, advanced analytics and other emerging digital technologies
  • Drive the standard patterns for data engineering on Cloud for AWS and Azure, act as the SME for LBUs, educate and transform them into cloud native technology shops.
  • Collaborate closely with both Group Infra and Cloud CoE teams for managing operational tasks under the cloud-first strategy

KEY ACCOUNTAIBILITIES

  • Implement and test various infrastructure for effective data management with attention to security and confidentiality, adhering to legal, compliance and regulations
  • Design and implement rules and procedures for data sharing and analysis with attention to all technical aspects
  • Support implementation of data management strategies
  • Develop and apply automated infrastructure testing strategies and build automated testing frameworks.
  • Drive long-term improvement in CoE and DevOps system availability by removing single point of failure

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

  • Good understanding and use of IT Cloud concepts including architecture, security, serverless, monitoring, and networking.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - including verbal, written, and presentation. Ability to tailor communication to audience.
  • Analytical, troubleshooting, and research skills with performance issues in production and development environments
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to research and solve complex issues independently
  • At least one-year experience with a cloud provider such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, etc.
  • In possession of industry recognized cloud data engineering certifications

KNOWLEDGE & TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • 5+ years or more or relevant experience, and 1+ years in managing contractors and small team.
  • Bachelor degree in computer science, Software Development, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in architecting data solutions on one or more major cloud (AWS, Azure) platforms
  • Previous experience in big data, analytics, database management, event driven, microservices, devops and/or machine learning operation in cloud
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, NodeJS, Java, etc
