Head / Chief of Operations, International Strategy & Communications Consultancy ( HONG KONG )

An award-winning international strategy & communications consultancy with a growing international presence is now looking for Head or Chief of Operations (depending on level) to streamline and manage the next phase of the firm's operations across their offices in Asia and the US, based in Hong Kong.

The right candidate will have a proven track record in establishing operations for a growing professional service business. Additionally, experience in the PR/ Marketing, Financial Services, Management Consultancy, or other professional Advisory firm preferred.

About the Role

  • Operational Leadership: Oversee daily operations and ensure efficient execution of the firm's strategies and initiatives.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build trusted relationships at all levels and deliver comprehensive business solutions beyond just communications plans.Advisory Role: Provide counsel to some of the firm's largest clients across the APAC region.
  • Team Development: Guide and lead teams on project execution and client management, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
  • Work with internal stakeholders, leadership, and multiple office admins across Asia, China and US to establish and enforce business procedures, and workforce policies.
  • Serve as a liaison between upper management and staff on policy and HR oriented issues
  • Cultural Development: Collaborate with internal resources to enhance the firm's culture around training, development, and empowering emerging leaders across multiple markets.
  • P&L Management: Proven experience in managing full P&L responsibilities, and assisting practice leads with tracking their P&L obligations.
  • Team Leadership: Demonstrated success in leading, growing teams, and developing a culture the empowers leaders

About the Candidate

  • Experience: Minimum of years of industry experience, with a significant amount of time managing operations with for a consultancy business
  • Industry Knowledge: Proven understanding the of the strategy and communications industry, client servicing business and their set-up and business model
  • Strong interest in tracking best practices in the industry including AI and technology integration is favourable
  • The right candidate will have a passion for organisation and optimising business
  • Due to the firm's heavy presence in China applicants with Chinese language skills will be prioritised
