Product Engineering Manager

As a Product Engineering Manager, you will be the technical bridge between PPG and our customers. You will help the teams to understand customer's technical requirements and standard, and get all the certifications.
You will report to Senior Product Engineering Manager, European OEMs. You working location will be in Guangdong, while looking over our business all over east and south China.

Key Responsibilities
Lead all new technology and product approvals globally for projects within the business plan and following strategic marketing and (global) account management for defined OEM
Review global approval list with teams in other regions and define approval activities with team
Implement approval plan established in coordination between BDM / Strategic Marketing / Account Management
Responsibility for approvals starting at OEM level down to n-Tier across complete product portfolio
Support other regions to obtain approval with local OEM
Lead defined national and international projects
Proactive provision of the necessary OEM information and requirements to the relevant departments and support in clarifying specific customer inquiries
Maintain customer relationship at all levels of the customer's central engineering organization
Manage product portfolio optimization
Consult with the customer and internally to align project specifications, manage product and solutions offering with a "One PPG" approach
Manage customer communication in case of product changes, production relocation and other activities requiring product approvals
Support of activities regarding quality, claim management and corrective actions
Helps solve efforts in case of product issues related to technology

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree, more than 5 years of working experience.
Familiar with automotive painting process or related technique.
Capability in using English, willingness to travel.
