该职位来源于猎聘 Baili Shanghai office of BRS Group is looking for a driven, inquisitive individual with maritime/shipping background to join its Research Team as a Freight Maritime Analyst. JOB SCOPE The Freight Maritime Analyst is responsible for executing in-depth research & delivering qualitative reports for all types of dry bulk freight performance, including recent developments in the maritime & commodity industries. In addition, fulfil any research related enquiries that Brokers/Clients may have or request for and other ad-hoc tasks such as client presentations. The Freight Maritime Analyst should be able to leverage upon the available internal resources within the BRS Group etc Brokers' insights/opinions/expertise and draw upon his/her own knowledge spanning across different facets of the maritime industry including but not limited to: Baltic Freight Indices, Freight Forward Agreements (FFAs), market seasonality/cyclicality etc. to fulfil above-mentioned job scope. DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES

  • Staying abreast on the latest market developments / intelligence including various commodity (iron ore, coal, grains, chemical etc.) demand & supply
  • Search for and compile new maritime and/or commodity data sources
  • Perform and deliver weekly analysis / newsletter using maritime software and other related database(s)
  • Maintenance and development of various analytical excel models relating to freight
  • Supporting senior team members in preparing presentations that are delivered to key clients / management
  • Providing general assistance to the Market Analysis team and brokers with a variety of ad-hoc analytical requests. QUALIFICATIONS Qualifications include:
  • Education –Bachelor's Degree in the Maritime Business / Economics / Data Science
  • Specialized Knowledge o Good computer Literacy (Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Power BI etc.) o Good/Acute understanding of the Maritime Industry's commercial practices (preferred)
  • Abilities & Skills o Outspoken & collaborative mindset to engage with different personnel within the BRS Group o The applicant shall be proficient in oral and written English. o Good report writing skills to articulate report findings and conclusions o Able to remain calm and deliver under pressure and tight deadlines especially ad-hoc requests o Tackle unconventional issues/requests with a creative spin
