主要职责/Your Responsibilities:

Technical key words:

This position holds the responsibility for the described tasks for the VW Group and the brands (Audi, VW), VCTC, CARIZON for the Chinese market. This position has to serve a large amount of interfaces within Volkswagen Group China, in respective field of technology development of ADAS/ ADAP, This role focuses on Linux-based performance tuning, ROS2 framework development, and ensuring deterministic behavior of ADAS/AD domain controllers under automotive-grade Linux environments.

  • Linux System Optimization:
    • Customize and tune Linux kernels (PREEMPT_RT patches, scheduling policies) for low-latency sensor data processing
    • Optimize user-space frameworks (memory management, zero-copy IPC) to meet end-to-end latency targets
    • Develop hardware acceleration strategies using GPU/NPU offloading (e.g., CUDA, OpenCL)
  • ROS2 Middleware Development
    • Design and implement ROS2-based middleware for multi-sensor fusion (LiDAR/Camera/Radar)
    • Optimize DDS (Data Distribution Service) configurations for high-bandwidth automotive networks
    • Build custom ROS2 nodes with real-time constraints using rclcpp lifecycle management

岗位要求/Required Qualification:

  • Education: This position requires a Master/ Bachelor degree in automotive, electrical, computer engineering or respective field.
  • Special Skills:
    • Linux System Tuning: Kernel configuration, PREEMPT_RT, cgroups, and userspace optimization
    • ROS2 Ecosystem: Deep understanding of DDS implementations (Cyclone DDS, Fast DDS), rclcpp/rclpy, and ROS2 security modules
    • Automotive Middleware: SOME/IP, DDS, or AUTOSAR Adaptive integration
    • Performance Tools: Hands-on with LTTng, sysdig, or ROS2 tracing utilities
    • Programming: C++ (ROS2 core development), Python3 for automation
  • Mandatory Knowledge:
    • Linux real-time computing principles (deadline scheduling, worst-case execution time analysis)
    • ROS2 QoS policies optimization for sensor data pipelines
    • Automotive Ethernet architectures (TCP/UDP, TSN protocols)
  • Excellent business English skills (written and spoken), German and Chinese language skills are beneficial.
